Founded in 1878 Simon Seward made his first trunk in Petersburg, Virginia. Seward steamers and trunks filled cargo holds of ocean liners, carried salesmen's samples from town to town, and protected grandma's handmade quilts. Today Seward is the largest world wide manufacture of trunks and are still made in the USA.
